Inflammatory breast cancer
Inflammatory breast cancer:
Inflammatory breast cancer is a rare clinical types, breast hardening often diffuse large, skin redness, fever, pain and edema. Fulminant onset was very similar to acute mastitis, which often misdiagnosed. However, there are some differences between the two:
① While both breast inflammation such as swelling heat pain, but the disease can be acute mastitis than its predecessor, can be more extensive for the bright red color, skin pitting edema; and a wide range of inflammatory breast cancer, skin changes, often involving the entire breast, the color is dark red or purple, orange peel skin was like the appearance of edema.
② two axillary lymph nodes can be seen, but the lymph nodes of acute mastitis relatively soft, with the surrounding tissue without adhesion, a good push on the activity; and inflammatory breast cancer lymph node large and hard, with the skin and surrounding tissue adhesion, does not push the activities of hand.
③ symptoms from the systemic point of view, acute mastitis often shivering, high fever and other significant systemic inflammatory response; and inflammatory breast cancer is usually no significant systemic inflammatory response, such as with fever, compared with low or medium heat.
④ view from the course, short course of acute mastitis, suppurative in the near future, anti-inflammatory treatment, prognosis good; and inflammatory breast cancer, the disease is dangerous, there is generally no suppuration, no skin ulcer, but may be extended to the ipsilateral breast outside the neck and arms, even invading the contralateral breast, anti-inflammatory treatment does not work, and poor prognosis.
inflammatory breast cancer:
Acute mastitis and inflammatory breast cancer more difficult to identify at an early stage, as the disease progresses more and more obvious the difference. If the inflammatory breast cancer misdiagnosis and mistreatment have been too long, it is difficult to treat. Therefore the differential diagnosis of both diseases is very important to the patient. Inflammatory breast cancer surgery in general should not be immediate, may be systemic chemotherapy or radiotherapy, to create conditions for the operation. After combined treatment, under the circumstances
